Spring Holidays in North Devon
North Devon is a stunning region famous for its beautiful coastline, picturesque countryside, and charming towns. Spring is an ideal time to explore the region, with milder weather, fewer crowds, and plenty of outdoor activities to enjoy. Here are some of the top things to do in North Devon during spring.
Relax on the Beaches
As the temperatures rise and the days grow longer, people emerge from their winter hibernation to embrace the beauty of the outdoors. Spring is the perfect time to explore Devon's stunning coastline and relax on some of the UK's most beautiful beaches.
Croyde Beach is a popular destination for surfers, with its reliable waves and picturesque setting. Saunton Beach, on the other hand, is a three-mile stretch of sand backed by dunes and offers plenty of space for beach games or a long stroll. The beach is also a great spot for birdwatching, with a variety of species to be spotted in the surrounding nature reserve.
Woolacombe Beach is another popular choice and only 10-minutes away from our self-catered village. The beach is a long, sandy bay backed by rolling hills, and is perfect for swimming, surfing, and sunbathing.
If you want to take a dip in the waters this spring but prefer a warmer swimming experience, you'll be pleased to know that Willingcott offers a heated outdoor swimming pool. Our pool is open from May half-term until the end of September, providing ample opportunity for you to take a dip whenever you feel like it during your stay. Whether you're looking to start your day with a refreshing swim, or unwind after a long day of exploring, our pool is the perfect place to relax and recharge.
