Easter Events and Activities in North Devon

There's always plenty of Easter events in North Devon that you can enjoy with the family. In our guide to what's on this Easter, all things to do we've included are located within a short drive from our Woolacombe holiday cottages. Cadbury Easter egg hunts in North Devon

28th March – 13th April
Woolacombe TIC, Watersmeet, Heddon Valley & Baggy Point

The North Devon National Trust are welcoming everyone to join them across numerous beautiful coastal and countryside locations to take part in their Cadbury Easter Egg hunts in North Devon. The exciting trails are organised by the rangers with a set of clues to follow before you can claim your special Cadbury prize! No booking is needed for these Easter egg hunts, and the there is a small fee of £2.50 per child.

Woolacombe (Tourist Information Centre), 10:30am – 3pm. Fri 10th – Mon 13th April.
Watersmeet, 10:30am – 3pm.  Fri 10th – Mon 13th April.
Heddon Valley, 10:30am – 3pm. Fri 10th – Mon 13th April.
Baggy Point, 09:30am – 4:30pm. Sat 28th March – Mon 13th April.

National Trust Spring Nature Trails

Easter Quiz at Exmoor Zoo

Exmoor Zoo are welcoming all to pay them a visit over the Easter break. Take part in their fantastic Easter Quiz that runs from the 28th March – 13th April. Exmoor Zoo offers a vast range of interactive shows and educational talks, where you can get very close to some wonderful animals. Easter Eggstravaganza at The Big Sheep

30th March – 13th April
The Big Sheep Family Attraction, Bideford EX39 5AP

An almighty 30,000 Easter eggs are hidden around the well-known Big Sheep Family Attraction. So gather all of your family and friends and get hunting! Head over to the website to plan you fantastic day out and take advantage of all the shows, rides and attractions. Don’t forget to look out for the Easter Bunny who will be out and about to meet and greet you!

Easter at Arlington Court

4th April – 13th April. 3-3:30pm
Arlington Court, near Barnstaple EX31 4LP

Arlington Court are offering charming Spring Lamb Talks over Easter at the National Trust attraction. Meet the new born lambs and listen to an informative talk by a local farmer. The Easter family fun doesn't end here though. Arlington Court are also hosting creative craft workshops, spring trails and the ability to make your own mini Easter garden. Visit the Easter Grotto at The Milky Way

1st April – 13th April. 10am-6pm
The Milky Way Adventure Park, Bideford EX39 5RY

Join the Milky Way at Easter in their newly expanded Easter Bunny HQ. Take a visit down the Rabbit hole to experience lots of interactive chocolatey activities along the way. During your adventures you’ll be able to meet the friendly helpers who control the production of the world's chocolate eggs. You'll help solve puzzles, make music and have lots of fun checking out the fascinating egg-production process. For those aged 1-2 you'll be invited into the Easter Bunny's front room, where you can meet the Easter Bunny and receive a FREE chocolate egg. All Easter activities, family rides and amusements are included in the entrance fee to this award-winning attraction. A day out at the Milky Way will provide a truly memorable Easter experience!

Remember to pick up a VIP super saver ticket when leave. This will entitle you to entry for £7.95 / £3.50 per person for the rest of the season.

Easter Chick Hunt at Clovelly

Take a day trip to the charming and historic Clovelly over Easter and take part in the Easter Chick hunt. From Mon 30th March – Mon 13th April numerous Easter chicks will be located up and down the North Devon cobbled high street. Mark the location of your chicks on the village map that you will receive on entry. If you spot 10 chicks you can return your map to the visitor centre to claim an Easter egg. If you spot all 15 chicks, you can win a much bigger prize! Clovelly is just under 30 miles from Willingcott Valley – but well worth a trip to this unforgettably scenic location.

Star Wars day at The Milky Way

Saturday 4th April during the Easter holidays marks an iconic day at The Milky Way with a Star Wars character day! Meet the Storm Troopers and other characters from the Star Wars films in this popular annual event at the North Devon adventure park. Don’t forget to bring your camera for all the photo opportunities. Half price entry is available for those children that come dressed in full Star Wars character outfits and there will be a prize for the best outfit of the day!

Easter at Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park

Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park, Ilfracombe EX34 0NG

If you love Dinosaurs, you'll enjoy paying Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park a visit over the Easter holidays. Search the park to find the hidden eggs and collect your prize! Don’t forget the free daily talks and shows where you can meet not only the animals but the fantastic keepers as well. There's also a large indoor Dinosaur Playzone offering hours of fun.
