2024 October Half-Term Events in North Devon
With October half-term just around the corner, there are some fantastic events happening in North Devon that are perfect for the whole family. From magical Halloween celebrations to autumnal adventures, there's something for everyone to enjoy. Let's take a look at some of our favourite October Half Term events taking place near Woolacombe this autumn.
Autumnfest Celebrations at Arlington Court
Location: Arlington Court, Barnstaple
Date: 5th October - 5th November
Experience the beauty of autumn at Arlington Court while you explore the estate, tea-rooms, and gardens adorned with seasonal decorations. We recommend taking a tour of the house to admire the harvest table and floral arrangements. Don't miss the impressive Atlantic giant pumpkin proudly displayed in the garden as well! Stroll through the grounds as you follow the scarecrow trail, created by local volunteers while children can also take part in an exciting activity to discover the wonders of autumn around Arlington.
Halloween Hocus Pocus at The Milky Way
Location: The Milky Way Adventure Park, Bideford
Date: 26th October – 3rd of November
Looking for a magical way to celebrate Halloween this October half-term? Then head to The Milky Way Adventure Park near Clovelly. Every day throughout the school holidays, there will be a host of exciting Halloween activities at The Milky Way, ideal for families with young children. From a school for witches and wizards where kids can create thrilling potions and craft magical spells to an exciting Merlin-themed show with lots of fun interactions, there's plenty to keep the little ones entertained.
Halloween at The Big Sheep
Location: The Big Sheep, Bideford
Date: 25th October – 2nd November
Don't miss out on the fantastical family-frineldy experience at The Big Sheep! Join in on the Halloween fun with a variety of themed activities, such as pumpkin carving and Animal Magic in their indoor barn. While you're there, why not also experience one of North Devon's largest roller coasters for an exhilarating ride? It's the perfect destination for a memorable day out with your loved ones.
Descend into Darkness at Watermouth Castle
Location: Watermouth Castle, Ilfracombe
Date: 25th – 27th October
Prepare for an hour of pure fear as you journey through a haunted castle. Experience a variety of terrifying areas, such as the Carnival of Clowns, the Mad Maze, and the Voodoo Valley. It's a spine-chilling experience perfect for thrill-seekers looking for a frighteningly fun event to share with friends and family. Please note that this experience is not suitable for individuals under the age of 12 or wheelchair users. Under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
