Easter is a great time of the year in North Devon, and with plenty of organised Easter-themed events taking place, there’s lots going on to keep the kids entertained.

Bideford’s Great Big Egg Hunt
Saturday 20th April
There will be over 400 eggs to find around the historic port town of Bideford in this egg hunt. The event also includes free face painting & set of bunny ears for all taking part.

Cadbury egg trail in Woolacombe
Friday 19th April – Tuesday 23rd April
The Cadbury egg trail in Woolacombe is easily accessible from Willingcott Valley – just 2 miles away. First you’ll need to collect your trail map from Woolacombe Tourist Information office (£2.50 per child), then embark on an adventure around Woolacombe Sand Dunes to find the clues to where the missing eggs have been hidden.

Find the Easter Chicks at Clovelly
Monday 8th April – Monday 22nd April 2019
On entry to the charming village of Clovelly, children will receive a map to use as a guide to mark down the location of the Easter chicks, which are positioned along the iconic cobbled high street down to the quay. When a minimum of 10 chicks are noted down you’ll be able to return to the visitor centre to claim your prize.
Cadbury egg hunt at Baggy Point
Thursday 11th April – 22nd April 2019
Pick up your egg hunt guide from the car park kiosk (£2.50 entry fee) and make sure you’re wearing your sensible footwear for this fun Easter trail around the coastal headland at Baggy Point in search of the clues that will lead you to the Cadbury’s prize.
The Big Sheep Easter Eggstravaganza Festival, Bideford
Saturday 6th April – Monday 22nd April 2019
This annual event at the well-known attraction of the BIG Sheep runs for the whole of the Easter holidays and promises a whopping 30,000 chocolate eggs to find, as well as great selection of rides & attractions ensuring there is something for all the family.

Cadbury egg hunt at Watersmeet
Friday 19th April – Monday 22nd April
Lyn Valley provides a beautiful setting for this Easter egg hunt which starts at Watersmeet House and follows a woodland trail along the river to find clues that lead to the Cadbury chocolate prize. There are no entry to fees to the grounds and just a £2.50 cost to take part in the egg hunt.

Saturday 6th April – Monday 22nd April
Arlington Court are hosting a wide range of fun activities this Easter including a wildlife trail, creative craft workshops, spring lamb talks by local famers and a Cadbury Easter egg hunt.

Meet Star Wars Characters at The Milky Way, Bideford

If you’re a fan of Star Wars you’ll pleased to know that characters from the films will be at The Milky Way Adventure Park on Saturday 20th April – providing the perfect photo opportunity over the Easter weekend at this event. Children in Stars Wars fancy dress get half-price entry!

Lynton & Barnstaple Railway Easter Sunday Fun Day
Sunday 21st April 2019
The legendary Lynton & Barnstaple railway is its 40th anniversary year in 2019. This is a great chance to visit the railway on one of its special events. A free day of fun things to do for kids on Easter Day is promised. Train fares still apply.
