Tunnels Beaches

The hand carved Tunnels Beaches were constructed in Victorian times to provide access to the unique sheltered beaches. The information along the inside of the tunnel walls provides a chance to delve into the history of Ilfracombe. Once though the tunnels, visitors can explore the beautiful beaches, rock pools and even take a swim in the Victorian bathing pool.

Ilfracombe Museum

Ilfracombe Museum is a perfect all-weather attraction for the family to explore. The museum boasts a growing collection of over 28,000 objects contained within 8 rooms. Consisting mainly of natural history, maritime and military themed treasures, some have a local importance and some items have origins from further afield.

Verity Statue

The controversial sculpture designed by Damien Hirst often divides opinion but always creates a talking point. Whether you like it or loathe it, you can't fail to miss the striking presence of the 20-metre high statue dominating the skyline.

Ilfracombe sits on the 13.9 mile section of the South West Coast Path from Combe Martin to Woolacombe. One of the more challenging parts of the path, but well-worth it for the breathtaking scenery.

Watermouth Castle

Landmark Theatre
